Unser erster Standort war ein Campingplatz nahe der Stadt \u201eVallon-Pont-d&#8217;Arc&#8220; mit einem Stellplatz direkt an der Ard\u00e8che. Von hier aus folgten wir der gro\u00dfartigen Schlucht dieses Flusses bis nach St. Martin in der N\u00e4he seiner M\u00fcndung in die Rhone. Das Departement ist sehr stark zerkl\u00fcftet und abwechslungsreich. Auf unserer Fahrt nach Norden war die \u00dcberwindung von bis zu 1000 Meter hohen P\u00e4ssen n\u00f6tig, um vom einen Tal in das n\u00e4chste zu gelangen.
